Use TripIt to organize, share, and track Itineraries

You booked all your flights and now you have a collection of confirmation emails. Tripit.com offers a way to organize your scheduled travel plans, and I am a huge fan! Set up a free account with TripIt, and as soon as you get a confirmation email from an airline, hotel, car rental, restaurant (and more!), simply forward it to TripIt, and it will automatically be entered into your itinerary. It organizes all the details for you in an easy to read format, and is accessible from your mobile device, to check plans on the road.

If you book something that currently isn't supported, you can use the TripClipper to add details from any website and it will be added to your itinerary to keep your entire trip organized. This will be a great tool for ambitious jetters that are booking back to back flights.

The fun part about using TripIt is sharing your plans with others. You can invite friends to view your itinerary, or see who else it traveling the same time as you. This will be useful for jetters that want to meet up in crossing destinations with other All-You-Can-Jet pass holders. TripIt even integrates with LinkedIn and updates you on friends' travels. I sometimes compete with friends, to see who has traveled more miles within the year!

In addition to all of these great features, TripIt offers a lineup of tools to enhance the service even more. You can automatically notify friends and family when your plane arrived safely, get the iPhone app to track itineraries on the go, integrate with your calendar, add to a blog, and more. TripIt gets the hassles of travel out of the way and leaves you time to enjoy your trip!

I have been a TripIt member for years. Sign up, invite me as your friend, and let's start traveling!
