I arrived at my hotel today in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic and was informed that I needed to check in over in an entirely different "Premium" area.  Seems somewhere along the way I was bumped up to a Premium status reservation.  What does this mean, exactly?  It means that in addition to the all you eat, all inclusiveness that everyone enjoys, I also have access to a completely separate area of the resort where only Premium members can enter.  They have a snack bar and top shelf drinks and both are complimentary.  Sweet and SWEET!  Also, I now get wifi free of charge...again SWEET!

Truth be told, I have zero energy as I am notorious for putting off everything until the last minute when it comes to my travels...and that includes preparations for this jetting adventure as well.  So I was up way too late last night, didn't sleep all that well on the plane due to a very loud Jersey guy yapping the entire flight to a dude across the aisle.  So I just finished off a nice hearty dinner and am kicking back VIP style with free wifi and some Stoli and passion fruit.  Also perfect time to update the bloggity blog.

Hoping to go horseback riding and do some snorkeling and maybe even go for a run tomorrow if the 90 degrees doesn't feel too schorchingly hot.  Half marathon next weekend and am running the full marathon at the Baltimore Marathon on Oct 10.  My procrastination also carries over to my marathon training, apparently.  But hey, at least I had a huge dinner...carbo loading on pasta in Lobster sauce is good right!?  :)
