36 Hours and Counting...and I still have too much to do.
I bought a netbook computer from Best Buy...and an external cd reader/writer, and some flash drives, and a netbook case.
I ran around getting little errands done that I have to do before I leave but still didn't book accomodations for my stay in the DR (yeah, I'll be there in 2 days) or for my night in New York City. Although, I'm really not stressing and clearly not putting forth much effort into doing this either...it'll get done...as there are tons of accomodations in both cities. Aruba I was a little worried about but found a cheap decent little place right at Eagle Beach...so that was the biggest thing I viewed as a stressor from this whole trip...and that's out of the way...so the rest is smooth sailing.
Guess I should pack my bag tonight and make a list of things to bring so I'm not scrambling to run to CVS 2 hours before my flight leaves.
I'm super excited to be starting off in the Dominican Republic! I visited Cabarete a few years ago and loved it. Staying in Puerto Plata this time and there's a really cool looking ecotourist area just outside Puerto Plata where you stay in a little bungalow that's 1000 feet above sea level and over looks a plantation. I'm leaning towards staying there at least one night...then the beach the remainder of the nights. But I can't wait for sandy beaches, and hopefully warm sunny weather.
DC the past couple days has been drizzly and overall just kind of dreary...and the temps have dipped a bit too. I'm really digging the cooler sleeping weather and not having to run my A/C...but I miss the summer heat. Fall is here folks!
